This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for the Stoney Language Dictionary (www.ansnheritageandlanguage.ca) & all related mobile applications. This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by the Stoney Language Dictionary and its mobile applications. It will notify you of the following:
We are the sole owners of the information collected by the Stoney Language Dictionary. We only have access to/collect personal information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from. The Stoney Language Dictionary will only collect personal information that you approve via the app or web service. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.
We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your personal information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request.
Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the Stoney Language Dictionary, your information is protected both online and offline.
Wherever we collect sensitive information that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page. All data passed from related mobile applications is done using ssl.
While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
The Stoney Language Dictionary may at times contain links to other sites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of any other site that collects personally identifiable information. By downloading a the Stoney Language Dictionary App or using the Stoney Language Dictionary web service, these terms will automatically apply to you – you should make sure therefore that you read them carefully before using the app. You are not allowed to copy, or modify the app, any part of the app, or our trademarks in any way. You are not allowed to attempt to extract the source code of the app, and you also may not try to translate the app into other languages, or make derivative versions. The app itself, and all the trade marks, copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights related to it, still belong to Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation.
Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation reserves the right to make changes to the Stoney Language Dictionary and any related mobile applications or to charge for their services, at any time and for any reason. You will never be charged for using the Stoney Language Dictionary or its services without being properly noticed.
Certain functions of the Stoney Language Dictionary and any related mobile applications, such as the ability to receive notifications, play audio, or update the word lists will require the app to have an active internet connection. The connection can be Wi-Fi, or provided by your mobile network provider, but we cannot take responsibility for the app not working if you don’t have access to Wi-Fi, and you do not have any of your data allowance left.
If you are using the Stony Language Dictionary or its related apps outside of an area with Wi-Fi, your terms of agreement with your mobile network provider will still apply. As a result, you may be charged by your mobile provider for the cost of data for the duration of the connection while accessing the app, or other third party charges. In using any of the the Stoney Language Dictionary applications, you are accepting responsibility for any such charges.
At some point we may wish to update the Stoney Language Dictionary and its applications. The apps are currently available on iOS and Android – the requirements for the platform (and for any additional platforms we decide to extend the availability of the app to) may change, and you will need to download the updates if you want to keep using the app. Alexis Nakota Sious Nation does not promise that it will always update the app so that it is relevant to you and/or works with the iOS version that you have installed on your device. However, you promise to always accept updates to the application when offered to you. We may also wish to stop providing the Stoney Language Dictionary or its related applications, and may terminate use of it them any time without giving notice of termination to you. Unless we tell you otherwise, upon any termination, (a) the rights and licenses granted to you in these terms will end; (b) you must stop using the Stoney Language Dictionary and its related applications, and (if needed) delete it from your device.
Any data, information and content provided by administrators is the sole property of said admin. Any and all content created by users must abide by any and all laws of the country of origin. Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation reserves the right to terminate membership for breaching any part of this agreement.
